Questions
What people ask before they use this tool.
How do I rotate specific pages?
Upload your PDF and you will see thumbnail previews of every page. Click the rotation button on any page to cycle through 90° CW, 180°, and 90° CCW. Only pages you change will be rotated.
Can I rotate all pages at once?
Yes! Use the "Rotate All 90°" button to rotate every page 90° clockwise in one click. Click it multiple times for 180° or 270°.
Will rotating change the PDF quality?
No. Rotation is a lossless metadata change — the page content, fonts, and images remain identical. No re-encoding happens.
Is there a file size or page limit?
No hard limit. The tool processes PDFs with hundreds of pages. Very large files may take longer depending on your device.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. PDF rotation happens in your browser using JavaScript, and your files are not uploaded to our servers during processing.
Can I rotate pages in an encrypted or password-protected PDF?
The tool attempts to load encrypted PDFs using pdf-lib's ignoreEncryption option. In most cases, rotation will succeed. However, PDFs with strong ownership restrictions that prevent editing may fail. The resulting downloaded file will no longer be encrypted.
How do I rotate only selected pages?
By default all pages are checked. Use "Deselect All" then check only the pages you want to change. The "Rotate All" button only rotates checked pages. You can also click individual page thumbnails or their rotate button to cycle through 0°, 90°, 180°, and 270°.
How is this different from Adobe Acrobat?
Adobe Acrobat is part of a broader paid PDF workflow, while this tool focuses on rotating pages in a browser-based workflow. The rotation remains a lossless metadata change.
Can I rotate a scanned PDF?
Yes. Rotation works on any PDF regardless of content type. Scanned pages, images, and text pages all rotate the same way via a metadata change.
Can I undo a rotation before downloading?
Yes. Click "Reset All" to set every page back to 0°. You can also click the rotation button on any individual page to cycle through angles until it returns to 0°.
What if I need to merge files after rotating?
Download the rotated PDF, then upload it to our PDF Merger along with your other files to combine them into one document.
Can I convert the rotated pages to images?
Yes. After rotating and downloading, use our PDF to JPG converter to export each page as a high-quality image.
Does this work on mobile devices?
Yes. The thumbnail grid and rotation controls are touch-friendly. Works on any modern mobile browser.
